Software and Technical Support Requirements

For Best Operation Install on a Pentium 4+ computer with Window 98SE, NT & XP, Microsoft Word and Excel 97+.  The Best Screen Density Setting is 800 x 600. 

If you are using Windows Vista follow the following Instructions:

"Route Rite"™ needs to Run with Administrator in Windows Vista as a Windows XP Program.

To set this up do the following:

  • Right Click on "Route Rite"™ Icon and then click Properties for that Icon (which is the "Route Rite"™ program.
  • Click the Compatibility Tab.  Then click the check box in run this program in Compatibility Mode. You should see Windows XP (Service Pack 2) defaulted because Vista as detected the program as last run as an XP program.
  • Also Click “Run this program as administrator” in the Privilege Level Box.
  • Click Apply
  • Click Ok

 

Hardware Requirements: The speed of the software is dependant upon your data volume, number of workstations and capacity of your computers.  If you have a larger company with lots of vehicles and data make sure that your hardware is capable of handling your data volume with speed.  For Networks, we strongly suggest the fastest and most memory (for server and workstations) that you can use for maximum performance:

Recommended Single-User & network workstation for best results:

Processor that is 2.60GHz or the fastest possible Processor with 1-2mb (Vista needs at least 2mb) of Ram Memory,

Single-user: Fastest Possible with large amount of memory is best

Fast Hard Drive (SCSI or IDE) Min of 60 MB free disk space on your hard drive. 

Network Server Requirements:

Processor that is 2.60+GHz or the fastest possible Processor with 4mb (Vista needs more) of Ram Memory for Networks

Min. 100MBIT+ Ethernet and 100 MB HUB

100 MB free disk space (min) on the hard drive.  

Any network configuration that will allow Drive Mapping, e.g. Novell NetWare, Microsoft NT, (100Mb network environment recommended).  Peer to Peer setups may be used as long as the data is located on one computer, "Server".
